Introduction & Background

Welcome to Photography by Joshua Garner.
Here, I will be posting my latest images and projects for you to preview and enjoy. For up to date information, be sure to become a follower. I am currently enrolled in the BFA, Photography and Digital Imaging program at Paier College of Art. For years I have been experimenting with photography, and find myself consistently amazed by its lack of limitations. Arts is and has always been a form of communication, and you will find my work is no exception.

Insomnia

My passion for photography has an extensive history, but does not measure up to a lifetime of insomnia. As a typical toddler I would lie awake in my bed; however what was most unique was my demeanor. Today, over twenty years later, I find that after the sun sets and the earth is still, I continue to find solace in the dark of the night.
Children’s stories and wives tales alike, teach us at an early age to fear the dark. What lies beyond our sight and why it unnerves us has long been a discussed, but I invite you to discover it with me, and decided for yourself if it is something to be feared or revered.
